Synopsis/Chase:
CAPES in the 1500 to 2500 J/KG range in the warm sector which covered areas of northwest, central and eastern oklahoma in an arc from south central oklahoma northward thru norman then northwestward into Enid and adjacent areas. Dewpoints in the mid/upper 60s and temperatures in the mid 70s with partly cloudy skies. Meanwhile distinct dryline pushed in from the southwest with dryline buldge over I40 corridor east of OKC. Upper winds and shear more than sufficient for supercelluar storms with moderate tornado threat. Initial storms developed near Enid, but more significant storms developed first along the I40 corridor west of Okemah and moved NE towards the Tulsa area with strongest cell of the day west of Pawhuska with a significant tornado. More storms developed later in the afternoon in the Lake Eufala area but unfavorable roads and hilly terrain precluded any decent wall cloud shots. Fun day nonetheless.
